4MLinux is a miniature Linux distribution focusing on four capabilities: maintenance (by using it as a system rescue live CD), multimedia (for example, for playing video DVDs), miniserver (using the inetd daemon), and mystery (meaning console games).

Los usos principales son: X File Explorer 1.33, Midnight Commander 4.8.1.6 5.1 de secuencias de comandos de copia de seguridad de 4MLinux, Partimage 0.6.9, Partclone 0.2.48, TestDisk 6.13, GNU ddrescue 1.16, GNU Parted 3.1, Clam AntiVirus 0.97.6, 7-Zip 9.20, UNetbootin 583 y InfraRecorder 0,53. This is an updated version using 4MLinux 5.1 as a core system. The main applications are: X File Explorer 1.33, Midnight Commander 4.8.1.6, 4MLinux Backup Scripts 5.1, Partimage 0.6.9, Partclone 0.2.48, TestDisk 6.13, GNU ddrescue 1.16, GNU Parted 3.1, Clam AntiVirus 0.97.6, 7-Zip 9.20, UNetbootin 583, and InfraRecorder 0.53. The supported filesystems are: btrfs, ext2, ext3, ext4, FAT, HFS, HFS+, jfs, Minix, NTFS, ReiserFS, and XFS.
