AlsaPlayer is a new PCM player written with the ALSA sound system in mind. It also includes support for JACK, OSS, NAS, and ESD. It makes extensive use of multi-threading and supports OGG, MP3, WAV, CDDA (CD Digital Audio), MOD, S3M, IT, and many other input types. Features include a real- time effects stream, variable speed/pitch control, SHOUTcast/icecast streaming support, multiple active visual scopes, command line mode, playlists, plugin architecture, low-latency mode, and more.

Se trata de una mejora de la función y bugfix menores. Añadió navegación por teclado básicos (saltar, pausa, etc), el modo de bucle (loop dentro de una selección), y los cambios de velocidad de un semitono musical o coma una hora con el teclado (muy útil para cambiar la clave o de ajuste de la canción se reproduce en ). This is a feature enhancement and minor bugfix release. It added basic keyboard navigation (skip, pause, etc.), loop mode (looping inside a selection), and speed changes one musical semitone or comma a time using the keyboard (handy for changing the key or tuning the song is played back in).
Pressing the play button or key during playback now returns to the beginning of the song. A desktop file was added. Support for FLAC 1.3 and 1.4 was added to the FLAC input plugin.
