Ved (visual editor) is a small and very fast screen-oriented text editor that implements a user interface somewhere between vi and Emacs. It is powerful and easy to learn, and has no limitations on line length, file size, or the types of characters that may appear in a file. It is a highly portable editor for Unix and most other OSes.

Compilación con DOS / DJGPP es ahora compatible. Ejecutar "make install" en un sistema operativo que requiere. Sufijo exe es compatible. install-sh ya no deja los archivos propiedad del usuario root en / tmp en un sistema operativo como SCO UNIX, donde cualquier usuario puede regalar los archivos a la raíz. La nueva opción,-nolock, se añadió para permitir la edición de NFS cuando un problema le impide hacer el bloqueo de registros. Muchos otros cambios se hicieron.

Compilation with DOS/DJGPP is now supported.
Running "make install" on an OS that requires the
.exe suffix is supported. install-sh no longer
leaves files owned by root in /tmp on an OS like
SCO UNIX where any user may give away files to
root. The new option, -nolock, was added to allow
editing when an NFS problem prevents you from
doing record locking. Many other changes were
made.

This release has support to work around the nonstandard way of record locking on Win32 & Cygwin. Large file support is turned on by default. There is much better portability. Note that this is a "Slottable Source Plugin Module", so you need to unpack the sounce in a recent cdrtools source package (see README.SSPM).
