YOS is a compact, personalized, and optimized OS with support for apt-rpm and tgz packages, with 1200 packages carefully selected and compiled for speed and stability. It has an automatic hardware detection system which should detect most modern hardware.

Este pre-lanzamiento ofreció un kernel parcheado 2.6.10 CKO, 2,6 cabeceras del kernel, NPTL, SELinux, GNOME 2.8, KDE 3.3.2, y cambiar el tamaño de las particiones NTFS base durante la instalación. Translucidez está basada en hardware con compatibilidad para sistemas basados en NVIDIA.
