VOTE: Comments on mingw.org
I've given this a qualified down-vote ... qualified because, in most cases existing comments are unrelated to article content, and they are often an abuse with intent to subvert the system to solicit advice; in some cases, they may simply constitute spam. However, there are a few cases where comments are actually pertinent to the article, and indeed do add useful content; such comments should be preserved, or integrated into the containing article itself.
It may be easiest to copy the original comment discussion to the article and adjust the page to reflect that content. Once I move the Wordpress version into the active site I will move the original to an unpublished sub-domain so that you might get to the original content if you adjust your etc/hosts file. I'll announce that sub-domain on the Slack message board.
Since both the original Drupal site, and the WordPress prototype are now gone, and I opted to resurrect content on mingw.osdn.io, without the overhead of a CMS, this hardly seems relevant any more ... closing.
If you vote this ticket up, you will be inviting a decision to move the comments from Drupal to Wordpress. I'm undecided as I've disabled the ability to create any future comments.
