Stendhal is a multiplayer online adventure game (MMORPG) developed using the Arianne game development system. It features a rich and expanding world in which you can explore towns, buildings, plains, caves, and dungeons. You will meet NPCs and acquire tasks and quests for valuable experience and cold hard cash. Your character will develop and grow, and with each new level up become stronger and better. With the money you acquire, you can buy new items and improve your armour and weapons. You can also roam the world in search of evil monsters (and kill them).

Adonthell is a role playing game in development that aims to combine the best features of the Final Fantasy and Ultima series with an epic plot. It is set in a detailed virtual world. With the current engine, a small demo game (Waste's Edge) is available.

Crystal Space is a free and portable 3D engine written in C++. It supports a large number of 3D features.

OpenMW is an attempt to reimplement the popular role playing game Morrowind. It aims to be a fully playable implementation of the game that will run on Linux, Windows, and Mac OS X. No game data is distributed with the code; the user must already own a copy of Morrowind to use the software.

Oolite is an independent reinterpretation and ehancement of the classic space sim game Elite for modern computers. The result is a space trading and combat simulation offering encounters with pirates, police, bounty hunters, the occasional alien menace, and other surprises along the way. While striving to reach the coveted Elite status, the players set their own path through the various galaxies, choosing to be trader, pirate, or bounty hunter depending on the situation at hand, and their own judgement. The game is hugely expandable, using a combination of property lists and JavaScript. Oolite's active modding community already provides more than 200 OXPs (Oolite eXpansion Packs). Among them are a huge variety of missions, weapons, ships, and extra career paths over and above what's available within the core game, as well as a number of other gameplay enhancements and customizations.

Arianne is a multiplayer online engine to develop turn based and real time games. It provides a simple way of creating games using Python for a game's description. Marauroa, its server, uses Java, MySQL, UDP, and Python for hosting dozens of players.

ScummVM is an interpreter and emulator for several classic graphic point-and-click adventure games. Support is currently available for: Adventure Soft's Simon the Sorcerer 1 and 2; Revolution's Beneath A Steel Sky, Broken Sword 1, and Broken Sword 2; Flight of the Amazon Queen; Wyrmkeep's Inherit the Earth; Coktel Vision's Gobliiins; and games based on LucasArts' SCUMM (Script Creation Utility for Maniac Mansion) system. Crossfire is a multi-player graphical arcade and adventure game made for X. It has certain flavours from other games, especially Gauntlet and the rogue-like games (Nethack, Moria, Angband, and Ragnarok). Any number of players can move around in their own window, finding and using items and battling monsters. They can choose to cooperate or compete in the same world.

AweMUD is a MUD server for use with fantasy-settings. Features include fully dynamic objects and characters, an advanced scripting system, and custom worlds. The engine will eventually have completely interactive rooms (items can be placed under benches, doors can be destroyed), complex magick, and interactive NPCs.

Erebus is a 2D real-time role-playing game with three quests and random dungeons. It is a classic point-n-click style RPG, with dungeons to explore, enemies to fight, NPCs to talk to, sub-quests to complete, scenery to interact with, weapons, treasure, and other items to find.

GNU FreeDink is a portable and enhanced version of the Dink Smallwood game engine. It aims at running the original game as well as its D-Mods (Dink MODules, or add-ons), with close compatibility, under new platforms. The internals of the engines are being cleaned up to allow for portability and later improvements.
