Ticket details:
Given the situa****@freen*****, and the way they behave (I just got fsf email telling how fsf and gnu channels were seized without any prior disagreement by freenode staff), I think we should remove all mentions of freenode as our official irc channel from all documentation, even if that means temporarily leaving us without any official channel.
Targeting documentation updates to 2.6.5 to be released next. This is a late change, but critical in that we don't want to direct users to wrong hands.
