So there has been an attempt at a hexagon mode in Freeciv,-web.

This hexagonal mode project has stalled now, and I would like to request help to complete the hex mode project.
These 2 steps would help complete hexagonal mode in Freeciv-web:
1. Hexagon view support in Freeciv-web, in the 2D version.
2. Support in the Freeciv C server to configure if the first row (and all even rows) in the hexagonal map should have the hexagonal "offset/indent", or if the second row (and all odd rows) should have the hexagonal "offset/indent".
This improvement would help add support for rendering hexagonal maps in https://www.fciv.net the 3D version of Freeciv project.
