I'm just starting to think about S3_1-alpha2, as I consider S3_0 now to be in maintenance mode, leaving me more time to work on S3_1 stabilization. For alpha2, the goal is to release it when there has been significant development, relative to alpha1, on issues blocking 3.1. Most likely this is still before S3_1 reaches d3f.

Alpha1 was released 29-May. It would be nice to have enough content in late November / early December to make alpha2 with roughly six months between the alphas.
