Airtime lets you take total control of your radio station via the Web with intelligent archive management, powerful search, an easy playlist builder, a simple scheduling calendar, and rock-solid automated playout. Features include fades, cues, playlists, a programme calendar, Icecast, Shoutcast, and Soundcloud integration, DJ and station manager roles, JQuery widgets, Liquidsoap playout, and a record and rebroadcast functionality. Powerful media archive features 'watch' folders to allow stations to magically synchronize files, auto-import files, and has multiple directory support. Users can interact with it through any Web browser. It comes with an 'easy install' package.

This release has a number of fixes improving the performance and stability of the open source radio software from Sourcefabric. Streaming was a major focus of the 2.2 release; the team has improved the fading between streams, and it is now smoother in Airtime 2.2.1. This release adds a number of fixes improving performance of the playout engine, jQuery widgets, and streams. The team and community have fixed playout engine issues and jQuery widgets not showing or incorrectly showing the past Sunday on Sunday. Also fixed is dragging and dropping tracks into a live show, which could cause to Web UI to become unsynchronized from what is actually playing. Users are now able to receive mono streams for Master or Show source broadcasts, and Soundcloud uploads are now working for all users.
