AlsaPlayer is a new PCM player written with the ALSA sound system in mind. It also includes support for JACK, OSS, NAS, and ESD. It makes extensive use of multi-threading and supports OGG, MP3, WAV, CDDA (CD Digital Audio), MOD, S3M, IT, and many other input types. Features include a real- time effects stream, variable speed/pitch control, SHOUTcast/icecast streaming support, multiple active visual scopes, command line mode, playlists, plugin architecture, low-latency mode, and more.

Fija se hicieron al "trabajo en progreso" interfaz GTK2 para que se compile. Una nueva página de manual de Debian fue añadido. Se hicieron correcciones en la interfaz GTK, el plugin de salida ALSA, el CDDA (CD-ROM) plugin de entrada, la interfaz de texto, los plugin de entrada FLAC y audiofile, y la toma de salida. Fixes were made to the "work in progress" GTK2
interface to get it to compile. A new man page
from Debian was added. Fixes were made in the GTK
interface, the ALSA output plugin, the CDDA
(CDROM) input plugin, the text interface, the flac
and audiofile input plugins, and the jack output.
The duration in the display is now correct when
playing mono files. Important security fixes were
also done.
