EL4J, the Extension Library for the J2EE, adds incremental improvements to the Spring Java framework. It has the ability to split applications in modules, with transitive dependencies between modules and support for automatically enabling Spring configuration of present modules. Remoting to remote POJOs as EJB SLSB or SFSB was simplified, and optional implicit context passing was implemented. Other improvements include a light daemon manager service and an exception handling safety facade.
