The GPL license headers in each file say GPLv1 or later but the the COPYING file says GPLv2. While this is not a problem (GPLv1+ can be licensed as GPLv2), maybe all those GPL mentions could be updated to the same version (ideally GPLv3 or later) to clarify the license version.
