PdfBooklet is a Python Gtk application which allows to make books or booklets from existing pdf files. It can also adjust margins, rotate, scale, merge files or extract pages.

I write here in order to leave some feedback to the developers of PDFbooklet because there is no email contact on their page.
This is a nice to commercial imposition software if you only need simple tasks.
It's specially interesting because you can see how the booklet would be in real time, is completly visual.
I use it to print pdf documents removing margins and two per page.
It would be great if the developers add the option to Scale (zoom) the content differently for the horizontal and vertical direction.
It would be a good idea to have a stack all pages' preview, to quickly see where my margins could be.
Sometimes you try to shift the left page (odd) but it also shifts the right (even) one.
Some pages are not modified as the other do.
And it's too slow.
