1. Intuitive UI
2. A LineSegment Editor, which makes the line segment editing much easier. Here is a manual of an early prototype. Detailed manuals are on the way.
3. A front end of the Google Tesseract-OCR tool. It makes the Google Tesseract-OCR tool much easier to use. Sometimes, it is even more convenient than commercial OCR tools due to some features of SMART-GS.
4. Undo/redo feature for the Image Document Editor, Multilingual support, e.g. Japanese menu bars, and many other miscellaneous improvements.
5. It is now a client for HCP gsx-file version control server. The basic features of a HCP client have been installed. Although it is still incomplete, we have abandoned the development of this feature, as shareable cloud storage services like DropBox are now available and popular. We are now developing features for

collaborating transcription over WEB through such services, e.g. a diff tool to compare two gsx files.

English video tutorial

Now a video tutorial for this version is under development. It must be available till August.

XML/TEI Editor version

A new version with a completely new text editor is under development. It is an XML/TEX editor and can edit not only horizontal line texts but also vertical line texts as Japanese texts. It is expected to be alpha-released in this coming summer.
