The CMU NetReg package is a scalable and flexible
Web-based system for managing networks. It
consolidates information about DNS zones, subnets,
machine registrations, and DHCP configuration, and
provides tools for easy management. The system
exports ISC BIND configuration and zones, and can
update them via either static zone files or TSIG
signed dynamic DNS updates. It also exports ISC
DHCP configurations, and has a SOAP API for
integration with other systems.

Las nuevas características incluyen la nueva "QuickReg": el sistema puede consultar las direcciones MAC de servidores DHCP para "one-click" registro de la red. Inicialmente los clientes tener acceso a una red privada para efectos de registro, y después de la inscripción se puede renovar a la subred de acceso completo. Además, el sistema ahora soporta el registro de direcciones IP secundarias (para servidores web SSL y otras situaciones). Nueva Web "Hot Key" apoyo también se incluye.

New features include the new "QuickReg": the system can query MAC addresses from DHCP servers for "one-click" network registration. Clients initially get access to a private network for registration purposes, and after registration can renew to the full access subnet. Additionally, the system now supports registration of secondary IP addresses (for SSL web servers and other situations). New Web "hot key" support is also included.
