It will allow the operator to easily track the ship's position on accurate chart images. Additionally, OpenCPN can display tide and current predictions. If you have a suitable AIS receiver, it will display AIS information transmitted by AIS equipped vessels. OpenCPN is a complete and fully functioning program.
