Quassel IRC is a modern, cross-platform, distributed IRC client, meaning that one or more clients can attach to and detach from a central core, much like the popular combination of screen and a text-based IRC client, but graphical. In addition to this unique feature, it aims to be a comfortable chatting program.

Esta versión trae mejoras en la integración de escritorio para el Medio Ambiente mediante la adición de soporte para DBusMenu (es compatible con GNOME y KDE) y la mejora de Ayatana y apoyo StatusNotifier. También son nuevos los accesos directos editables, accesos directos para la navegación entre los chats y las asociaciones de teclas de emacs de estilo para la línea de entrada. La línea marcador ahora se puede configurar manualmente, y se puede saltar directamente a la línea de marcador. Además, esta versión añade soporte para la encriptación Blowfish, también conocido como mircryption, pescado o RFC 2045. Quassel ahora soporta un modo de pantalla completa y está disponible en griego, gallego y japonés.

This release brings improved Desktop Environment integration by adding support for DBusMenu (supports both GNOME and KDE) and improved Ayatana and StatusNotifier support. Also new are editable shortcuts, shortcuts for navigation between chats, and emacs-style key bindings for the input line. The marker line can now be set manually, and one can jump directly to the marker line. Furthermore, this release adds support for Blowfish encryption, also known as mircryption, FiSH, or RFC 2045. Quassel now supports a full-screen mode and is available in Greek, Galician, and Japanese.
