VLC media player is a multimedia player, framework, streamer, and encoder. It can play inputs like files, network streams, DVDs, audio CDs, Blu-Rays, capture devices, and screens. It can play most audio and video codecs and formats (MPEG 1/2/4, H264, VC-1, DivX, WMV, Vorbis, AC3, AAC, MKV, etc.), but can also be used to convert to different formats and/or send streams through the network.

Esta versión corrige la mayoría de los menores de los errores notables y regresiones que estaban presentes en la versión 1.0.0. Arreglos Notables y se hicieron mejoras a FLV y MPEG2 que busca, y WMV, WAV, RTSP, y el apoyo de la SSA. Las interfaces de Qt y MacOS se han arreglado. Un desbordamiento de entero en la pseudo-Real RTSP módulo fue corregido. Las traducciones han sido actualizados. El módulo de ZVBI fue portado a Windows para el apoyo de teletexto completo. Códecs se han actualizado para Windows y Mac OS.

This minor version fixes most of the notable bugs and regressions that were present in the 1.0.0 version. Notable fixes and improvements were made to flv and mpeg2 seeking, and wmv, wav, rtsp, and ssa support. The Qt and MacOS interfaces were fixed. An integer underflow in the Real pseudo-RTSP module was fixed. The translations were updated. The ZVBI module was ported to Windows for full teletext support. Codecs were updated for Windows and Mac OS.
