It's a mingw-get catalogue bug, now fixed; see: https://osdn.net/projects/mingw/ticket/38940 But seriously, do you really still have gcc-c++-4.8.1 installed? If not, then you should not install this obsolete, (and broken), package; (there is nothing in it, anyway). It exists only to force removal of content which may survive a prior installation of gcc-c++-4.8.1-4-doc, (or an earlier 4.8.1 version) ... content which may interfere with a clean upgrade to any newer GCC version. -- Regards, Keith.
