I'd like a couple buttons added up next to the menu bar:

1) A button to clear the buffer.

2) A button to connect/disconnect from the serial port. If disconnected, the button reconnects using the previous settings. I use teraterm as a terminal for projects I am developing and I often have to disconnect, load new code with a separate serial loader, then reconnect the terminal.

"New connection" dialog dispalys previous COM port by default.
