Shell.NET is a set of console applications written
in C#. It features some classic Unix applications
like basename, cal, grep, tr, uniq, and wc, but
also some unique tools like RunScript or
TextTransform, an awk-like text processing
application accepting scripts written in any .NET
language.

ircII is the other original popular UNIX IRC client. It
has a full screen, termcap-based interface to
connect to and communicate via Internet Relay
Chat servers.

ConcurrentLua is a system that implements a concurrency model for the Lua programming language. It is based on the share-nothing asynchronous message-passing model that is employed in the Erlang programming language.

mooircd is essentially aiming to be a clone of
Exchange Chat Service (MS IRCX) for Unix. It is
based on the Hybrid IRCD.

PopFlush is a command-line utility that allow users to delete one or more messages from a POP3 mailbox. It can also called as a CGI program. It currently deletes all messages, but more complex criterea such as size and header patterns are planned for later releases.

ucpp is a C preprocessor. It is designed to be quick and light, but still fully compliant to the ISO standard 9899:1999, also known as C99. ucpp can be compiled as a stand-alone program or linked to some other code; in the latter case, ucpp will output tokens, one at a time, on demand, as an integrated lexer. ucpp operates in two modes: in lexer mode, ucpp is linked to some other code and outputs a stream of tokens where each call to the lex() function will yield one token; in non-lexer mode, ucpp preprocesses text and outputs the resulting text to a file descriptor. If linked to some other code, the cpp() function must be called repeatedly, otherwise ucpp is a stand-alone binary.

songanalysis analyzes a song in WAV, Ogg Vorbis,
or MP3 format and produces an output consisting of
the volume differential, the relative strength in
each frequency band, and the tempo. This is useful
if you want to build something that lets you find
out whether you have duplicate files, if you need
to find out the tempo of your songs, or if you
need to find similar songs according to how they
sound.

msn-gateway is an MSN messenger gateway for mobile
phones using email and a Web server. It can be
used with imode and GPRS phones. One of the goals
is to use a minimum of bandwidth. The Twisted
matrix framework is heavily used.

isbn.pl contains a single, simple function which returns a book record from the US Library of Congress based on a single incoming ISBN. It is intended for use in other packages, such as barcode reader drivers, to provide users of those tools with the extensive cataloging metadata librarians have created over the years. It differs from other tools seen so far in that the data returned is in the MARC format, the heavily used, ancient metadata standard originally based on library catalog cards. It thus provides much data in a known syntax via a known query protocol (z39.50, using Zeta), rather than via Web page screen scraping.

CSVSee graphs data from CSV files, especially those containing timestamps. You can graph all columns, or specific columns matching regular expressions. Graphs can be displayed in an interactive viewer, or saved to a .png or .svg file. Tools are also provided to generate CSV files by string-matching in multiple timestamped text files, and for creating CSV reports of Grinder load test logs.

Web PDF Renderer is a JavaScript library which allows you to embed PDFs as part of your webpages. It uses a "silent" Java applet to process the PDF in a background thread and renders the PDF pages to img tags in the document.
