The PassGuard suite is a set of software that manages your passwords encrypted in a file. You just have to remember one, and different encrypted file formats are supported via plugins. The PassGuard gpasman plugin is the plugin that manages gpasman files encrypted with the RC2 algorithm.

Bran is a backup server solution based on Bacula. It is a special Linux distribution to organize the backup center of an organization. It can create a server that is ready to use after a very simple install procedure. The server has a very simple user interface that relieves users of the burden of worrying about the implementation details of the backup process.

simplebup is a console application that can be run either in the foreground or background to monitor various directories and automatically backup any modified file within them. Directory names are read from a config file, along with a corresponding backup destination for each.

Hosting Backup is a set if PHP command line scripts that provides an easy way to backup hosted Web sites to your local computer. It works with sites hosted on Linux servers with MySQL databases using FTP.

prsync provides a solution for backups that is
easy to configure, simple to maintain, and based
on rsync. You can can specify how often to backup
(daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly) and how much
is needed from each of these periods. Backups from
a local computer to a remote computer, remote to
local, and local to local are possible. prsync
will also take care of the old backups.

The Amanda CDRW-Taper is a drop-in replacement for
the taper component of the Amanda backup system.
CDRW-Taper makes it possible to dump backups to
CD-RW or DVD+RW instead of tape.

Libchop is a set of utilities and library for data backup and distributed storage. Its main application is chop-backup, an encrypted backup program that supports data integrity checks, versioning at little cost, distribution among several sites, selective sharing of stored data, adaptive compression, and more. The library itself, which chop-backup builds upon, implements storage techniques such as content-based addressing, content hash keys, Merkle trees, similarity detection, and lossless compression. It makes it easy to combine them in different ways. The ‘chop-archiver’ and ‘chop-block-server’ tools, illustrated in the manual, provide direct access to these facilities from the command line. It is written in C and has Guile (Scheme) bindings.

configuration, different reporting level, and
archiving of log files.

Neembuu Uploader is an application that uploads files simultaneously to multiple file hosts and lets you manage the download and delete URLs. Currently 12 major hosts are supported. Users can simply drag and drop any number of files to upload. The maximum number of simultaneous uploads can be set. The links of uploaded files can be copyied and exported. Queued links can be saved on exit for uploading later. Users can change the order of uploads.

bak2disc is a disc-based backup script aimed at
being easy to use and powerful. Its most notable
feature is the way it groups common files and
directories together to preserve structure when
data is divided into discs. This functionality is a tunable threshold that lets you control the balance between data contiguity and maximum disc usage. In addition, bak2disc also features resume support, which allows you to stop burning between discs and continue later. Burning is done on-the-fly, using growisofs for DVDs and cdrecord for CDs.

Lakai is a small set of tools (plus a link
library) used to transfer sampler data (programs
and samples) between a PC with a SCSI host adapter
and an AKAI sampler (S1000, S2000, etc.). The
tools allow you to easily create a full backup of
the sampler's memory contents, and to perform a
full restore of this data back to the sampler.

Imlug Remote Backup System makes a local copy of a directory and sends it to a remote machine using rsync or ssh.

mysqldump.php is a PHP script that dumps a MySQL
database into a mysqldump compatible SQL script.
It can also dump a table into CSV format.

QTSfv is a tool to create and verify filesets in CRC32, MD5, and SHA1.
It can parse and create .sfv and .md5sum files.

restore-FreeBSD is a tool that generates a
pseudo-port that contains everything that is
currently installed on a FreeBSD system.
