IPNetwork is a set of utility classes for the .NET platform that take care of complex calculations related to networks, IP, netmask, CIDR, subnets, and supernets. It works with IPv4, has a light and clean API, and is fully unit tested.

GNMS is a network management system, a graphical tool used to monitor the state of network elements. Monitoring can be done in multiple ways using service discovery, SNMP, WMI, and custom plugins. Syslog and SNMP traps can be caught too.

xtalk is a multi-user IM/chat room system. It can be used to chat with other people within a colourful yet minimalistic command-oriented client.

SekHost is a host-based firewall and packet prioritization
utility for Linux systems. The configuration is simple yet
powerful functionality is available. Packet prioritization is
very straightforward to configure, but can be turned off in
the config file and should not be used in conjunction with any
other traffic shaping on the host itself.

GeneSyS aims to define and implement a middleware
architecture for generic system monitoring and
supervision. It is an Information Society Project
(IST-2001-34162) sponsored by the European
Commission. It provides a middleware- and
agent-based approach for system monitoring and
management. It uses WebServices technology (SOAP)
for communication between components and XML-based
descriptions of monitoring information.

The CheckServerd daemon check servers and notifies
someone if there are any problems.

MynahSA is a cross-platform toolkit for connecting
C++ objects to data streams. Developers using
MynahSA can quickly and easily create
client/server applications or encrypted files
containing serialized object data. The toolkit
uses OpenSSL for encryption and secure network
communications. MynahSA is tested on Linux,
Microsoft Windows, Apple's Mac OS X, and Sun's
Solaris.
