JasperReports is a Java reporting library. XML report templates are used to generate ready to print documents using data from customizable data sources, including JDBC. The output can be delivered to the screen, printer, or stored in PDF, HTML, XLS, RTF, CSV, and XML format.

Esta versión introduce un nuevo marco de Web para apoyar una mayor interactividad en los informes, con el nuevo repositorio de datos y acceso a las API, un componente de tabla reforzada con columnas se pueden ordenar y filtrar, y un nuevo componente para hacer mapas geográficos. Que representa una importante revisión de la base de código fuente en que se ha eliminado el código viejo en desuso mientras se hace uso de las nuevas características del lenguaje Java, como los genéricos.
