Software Map

GRPLib is a game library that directly supports
Blizzard's GRP format (8-bit sprites), which is
used in StarCraft and Diablo II games. It is
very fast and can display realistic terrain,
units, and effects.

Epic of Thalia is an RPG of the non-MMO variety.
It includes features such as an embedded Lua
engine and a non-linear story sequence.

Abura Tan is a Rogue-like adventure game of cowboy
knights and lurking horror.

Spice Trade is an RPG/adventure/strategy game in
which the main character is a poor man who has
lost his parents, inherited some land and a house.
He becomes a trader of spices and herbs in Baghdad
at a time when Europeans are starting their "great
voyages of exploration". The game character has to
ensure that the Europeans do not take over his
country and his culture, while he has to expand
the sphere of influence of his own culture.

SDLPure is a pure graphical NetHack/SLASH'EM
interface, mimicking the TTY interface as much as
possible in look and in feel, yet with tiles.

Pertergrin is a fantasy RPG system. It lets you
create or improve a world, towns, items, and so on
using an editor. The editor can also be used for
editing other (expandable) RPGs.

DimensioneX is a multiplayer game engine. It lets
you develop, run, and host browser-based,
graphical multiplayer games. The users will play
games simply via their browser. DimensioneX runs
on any Java-enabled Web server (such as Tomcat).

Buyasta is a MUD engine which provides a
simple-to-use framework for constructing MUDs with
the Python programming language. The project is
organized into a core library and sample
implementations.

HeroScribe produces typographic quality HeroQuest maps (with either
European or US layout). The maps can be exported to EPS, PDF, or PNG
files.

Odd Island is a 3D MORPG with a fantasy setting which takes place on a small island. Currently it is still labeled as a tech demo as it's under heavy development.

X Starship Traders is a GTK+-based X Windows
client for the online Web game, Starship Traders.
