Hppsmtools is a collection of command line programs that allow you to retrieve and delete images from HP Photosmart C5340A and C30 (and probably Konica Q-EZ and HP C200) cameras, view the contents of their flash cards, and take pictures under control of the host computer.

KZoom is a KDE graphical application that can be
used to enlarge parts of your X Window desktop.
It's a very handy tool, has various zooming
controls, and is easy to use.

phpMotionDetect is a script that compares
snapshots, and on motion detection a snapshot is
stores on disk and/or in a MySQL database. A Web
interface is available to browse snapshots in the
databases, and MPEG movies and GIF animations can
be created directly from this interface.

vgrabbj grabs a frame from the videodevice and writes it as a JPG/PNG to stdout or a file, which makes it ideal for a Web cam. It supports timestamping, can run as daemon, and shows the current settings of a video device.

DVBStreamer is a console based application for streaming DVB/ATSC service(s) over UDP or to a file. It has a simple plugin architecture to allow more features to be added.

sonic-snap is a Webcam application specifically
suited for the sn9c102 kernel driver.
Distinguishing features include histogram
analysis, normalization, and MPEG output.

NIASH's Test Tool is a prototype driver for scanners based in NIASH chipsets (HP Scanjet 3300c, 3400c, 4300c, and Agfa Snapscan Touch). It supports scanning (at fixed DPI) and experimental calibration. It can also be integrated in SANE as a backend.

pyqrcode is a Python extension for encoding and
decoding the popular matrix code known as qrcode.

mjpeg-jpegs is a tool for coverting Motion-JPEG files
such as the short movies produced by digital cameras
to JPEG files and back. Both AVI and QuickTime
formats are supported, including audio tracks.

TVShow is a platform-independent software package
for searching, managing, and recording television
shows. It consists of a Java Swing front-end for
searching and managing the listings, using a SOAP
service. The backend format is XMLTV.

SST is the graphical client for playing the Starshiptraders online game. The game can also be played through a Web browser or telnet.

zire-photo is a simple gpilotd plugin conduit for synchronizing images captured by the builtin camera on Palm's new Zire 71. Images and thumbnails are placed in a user-specified directory.
